NOEL RUHLARI- CHRISTMAS SPIRITS

TÜRKÇE (For English please scroll down.)

ENGLISH

Back when I was working for Trixter animation studio, it was decided to make an animated clip for the holiday season and the new year to be used on the studio website. Because a ghost story was in production at the time, I proposed a ghost theme for the clip. The first half was animated by Sam Siahaija, the second half by myself. The approaching new year was 2006. I have decided to take the clip out of its mothballs to celebrate the present holiday season and the approaching 2012.

YENİ YIL 2012- NEWYEAR 2012

TÜRKÇE (For English please scroll down.)

ENGLISH

It's that New Year time again! A world gone mad- just look at our neighbors! If you can dismiss them because they are beyond our frontiers, then just look at us and the dangerous direction we are heading! The only answer is to try and stay above the events and not lose our hope (not let them "deflate"!) The house in the picture is Lâle's "chalet", of course. The idea for the composition comes from Disney-Pixar's Up, one of my favorite films. Happy new year! Drawing by Tahsin Özgür, colors by Lâle Özgür.
